Sun Shining Spots in Sri Lankan South Coast - MIRISSA

Mirissa is one of the main beach destination in southern Sri Lanka. The area is fulfilled with beautiful beaches, surf waves, whale watching, Instafamous plam trees, great bars, restaurants and more chilling place. These are the 6 reasons why I love Mirissa.

1. Mirissa Beach

Mirissa beach is most stunning beach in Sri Lanka. It has plam trees lined, clean sand, colourfull combination of blue and green water. You can lay your towel and relax and enjoy your Reading. There’s a small rock(Parrot rock) in which you can climb to the top for great views of Mirissa.

2. Surfing

Surfing is becoming more popular in Mirissa and all beginners are warmly welcome to this paradise. You can rent a board from beach and catch those waves!

3. Whale watching

Whale watching is one of the main reasons why people visit Mirissa. During October to May I guaranteed to see whales just near from your boat.

4. Secret Beach

You can find this secret beach on google map, but how? this is the secret spot only the locals knew and they kept it as a secret for so longtime. As a result of tourism and social Medias this is no more a secret. You can enter free to this beach and enjoy the beautiful surrounding. This is a great spot to get some epic photos. Mirissa beach is a very busy beach town and if you want to get salty and listening to birds, this is the place you are looking for. Already this place have beach bar and day beds then you can chill with sun bathing and drinking coconut.

5. Instafamous Plam Trees

If you are an instagram lover and if you have already planned to come to Sri Lanka I know this is the place you are looking for. This is my favorite viewpoint in Sri Lanka. This place is full covered with palm trees and you can get more and more instergramable photos.

6. Be a foodie

Mirissa is a foodie’s paradise. There are many cute and delicious cafes and restaurants to try deferent types of foods. This is one of my favorite place.
